The
IRON MAN is presented to the referee who referees the greatest
number of games in Region 14. It requires a sense of dedication and willingness
to participate every (or nearly every weekend). This year's recipient is
Kazumi Uchino
36 Games
The
BRONZE MAN is awarded to the referee who referees the most
Upper Division Games--no easy feet (pun intended). It not only requires stamina,
knowledge and of course a sense of humor, but also a car that gets reallllllly good mileage. This year
Region 14 recognizes Greg Wintroub--recipient for the second
year in a row.
Many, many, many, many, many, many Games (perhaps even more)
The
Outstanding New Referee plaque is presented to the first year referee
who demonstrates an understanding of the Laws of Soccer and makes the most
progress towards becoming an eventual IRON MAN recipient (or at least has a lot
of fun refereeing with the kids). He's the guy to watch: Phil
Bendik
28 Games
The
PRO REFEREE IRON MAN AWARD was presented to Collin
Marsaw, a second year referee, who has really taken to refereeing. Just
like the adult version, the Pro Referee Iron Man is given to the referee who
completes the most games in Region 14.
30 Games
Elizabeth
Babbitt was the recipient of Region 14's Outstanding New Pro
Referee recognition award. It is given to the first year youth referee who
not only demonstrates an understanding of the Laws of Soccer but also completes
a significant number of games.
14 Games

On behalf of the staff and the kids who play soccer--thanks to each and every referee. Dinner is only a small part of our appreciation package. As a bonus, we are holding a spot for you in next year's referee line up. In Region 14, the fun never ends...

that's all folks. Tune in again next year.
