2008 End of Season...Referee Dinner Kick Off Dinner 2009

Another year down, and a new one has begun. We celebrated not only being referees...but also honored a few of our own whose efforts went above and beyond the expected in terms of miles run and days spent helping Region 14 put together a fun filled season.

Referees know how to party!

Awards and Recognitions:

The Iron Man award dates back to the beginning of Region 14 (give or take a few years). It is given to the referee who completes the most amount of games in the region. It's not easy to earn, but brings a sense of accomplishment and pride. This year's winner is Jack Hailwood with 42 games
The Bronze Man -- Most amount of games humanly possible in Upper Division: Greg Wintroub with 52 Upper Division Games
Super Man -- Most amount of games in both Upper Division Games and Lower Division: Ray Thompson 14 Upper Division and 37 Lower Divisions (including....U8!!!). (There were so many flashbulbs going off that Ray is blinking...)
no picture Outstanding New Referee. James Lee with 12 games (sadly, James could not make the dinner. He showed up to referee on the first day of the new season and, in a private ceremony, received his award.)
Pro Referee Iron Man: Given to the youth referee who completes the most amount of games. Michael Hailwood (it must run in the family) 31 games.
Outstanding New Referee: Collin Marsaw, 26 games.

And the final bill arrives.."okay...who ordered the steak and lobster?"
